How can Hypnotherapy help?

What if the same thing that keeps you feeling stuck in trapped emotions, thoughts and behaviours could be the same thing that could set you free? The reality is it can. We all have a powerful mind that with the right direction can help us change rapidly. Neuroscience continues to prove our ability to change our thoughts and beliefs can actually change our brains, creating new positive neural pathways. We all have the ability to use our inner resources for change, hypnotherapy can help you uncover those inner resources and finally release what has been holding you back.
Hypnotherapy uses the state of hypnosis (a natural state of being) to allow the subconscious mind to be open to change. This results in fast and long-lasting change using a safe, compassionate and professional approach.

"Sometimes life throws obstacles in your path which can be difficult to overcome alone.

What can Hypnotherapy help with?

We all experience times in our lives when our mental well being prevents us from being the best that we can be. Whether that's increased stress, anxiety, fears or addictive behaviours like smoking or drinking. Hypnotherapy can be used to help people in many areas of their life, whether it is overcoming unwanted habits and behaviours, improving their mental health, dealing with anxiety or depression, or looking to make positive improvements in physical wellbeing. I specialise in helping people overcome complex behaviours and habits around their physical and mental wellbeing.

If you are looking for help with something you are finding challenging to overcome, or perhaps you have tried other approaches but not had the results you desire then the next step is to book a consultation so we can discuss how hypnotherapy can help you.

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is the application of therapeutic techniques while in the state of hypnosis. Its history dates back to 1841 and it became more commonly accepted as a therapeutic approach when the American Psychological Association published its first research on hypnosis in 1933. Since then the field of hypnotherapy has continued to grow and is now supported by the NHS for the treatment of IBS.

Hypnosis is a very natural state that you experience throughout your day. When you use your imagination, daydream, or find yourself doing something without thinking, you are in a trance state.  The only difference in guided hypnosis with a qualified Hypnotherapist is that the depth of trance is much deeper. When you are in this focused trance, we can work with your mind to make changes to subconscious patterns around your thoughts and behaviours. We are on automatic pilot most of our waking life and these automatic behaviours, thoughts and feelings are driven from our subconscious. Making changes at this level of the mind can be much more transformational than conscious willpower alone can achieve.
